After seeing so many courageous citizens re-invest in especially eastern New Orleans, Earl Mackie has decided to pursue a long time dream - to own a restaurant. While some chose to pass on the opportunity to return their business, Mackie’s commitment to rebuilding and to this important area of our city motivated him to invest the resources and time. With two partners, Larry Lee and Henry Holden, these owners have created in Big Momma’s at 5741 Crowder Boulevard the first of many locations that will be franchised.

Big Momma’s Chicken and Waffles, is open each day from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Big Momma’s has a family oriented atmosphere. The owners and staff take pride in customer service and greet each customer as they enter the door. Customers can take advantage of a menu that includes a variety of delicious foods prepared with the attention to goodness that you would expect from Big Momma.
